These colourful giraffe figurines are hand-carved from soapstone in the Kisii region of Kenya, known for its tradition of stone carving. Each giraffe is approximately 5" tall and 2" wide, with a distinctive shape and a smooth, painted finish.
Available in a choice of colors, these little giraffes make a cheerful addition to a bookshelf, desk, mantel or animal figurine collection. Each piece is carved and painted by hand, so the shape and painted details may vary slightly.
Made by artisans in Kenya through a fair-trade handicraft partnership that supports a local community group providing education and medical care to children. -
