These 8 inch diameter African bowls are hand carved from soapstone in the Kisii region of Kenya.

These bowls are first carved smooth, then the design is painted on the smooth stone, and finally, the background is chiselled to give a textured appearance.


Each piece is hand made and unique.  You will receive exactly the bowl pictured.  These are decorative bowls, great as an accent in any room.  They are round, approximately 8" in diameter, and approximately 1.5" high.
