This natural soapstone figurine depicts a mother holding her child, hand-carved in Kenya from creamy white stone. The simple, flowing shape captures the closeness between mother and child, with a smooth, polished finish.
The figurine measures approximately 6.5" tall, 4" wide when viewed from the side, and 2.5" deep. It is carved from natural soapstone, which may contain subtle variations in colour, grain and natural inclusions. Each piece has its own individual character. As each piece is hand-carved the sizes can vary slightly.
A lovely decorative piece for a shelf, desk or mantel, and a thoughtful gift for a mother, grandmother or new parent. It also makes a meaningful keepsake for Mother's Day, a baby shower or another family occasion. -
