This miniature Blue Jay is hand-carved from soapstone in Kenya and hand-painted in the distinctive blue, white and black colors of this familiar North American bird.
Measuring approximately 1.75 inches tall, 2 inches long, and 1.25 inches wide, this little bird is small enough to display almost anywhere, and makes a charming accent for a shelf, desk, windowsill or nature-inspired display. Its compact size also makes it an easy gift for a bird lover, nature enthusiast or anyone who appreciates handmade stone carvings.
Each figurine is individually carved and painted, so small variations in shape, color and detailing are part of the character of the handmade piece.
A lovely little piece of Kenyan soapstone art, and a fun addition to a collection of miniature birds or animal figurines.
**NOTE** These are not toys and not recommended for children under 5 years of age. -
