This handcrafted metal goat is made in Zimbabwe from recycled steel roofing, known locally as Chromadek. Its curved horns, long ears and distinctive beard give it plenty of personality, while the combination of white and dark recycled metal creates a wonderfully rustic appearance.
The white metal is the original color of the roofing and has not been repainted or touched up. Its natural scuffs, scratches and weathering remain visible, giving every sculpture a unique appearance. The darker sections are also made from recycled metal.
Each goat is individually handmade by artisans working with a community group in Zimbabwe. The hand-cut and assembled construction means that small variations are part of the character of each piece.
A distinctive choice for farmhouse or rustic decor, a cottage or sheltered garden, or as a gift for someone who loves goats, farm animals and handmade recycled art.
This goat is part of our collection of Zimbabwean recycled-metal farm animals, alongside our Holstein cow. Each sculpture is sold separately.
