Hand-carved from Kisii soapstone in Kenya, this unusual dish is shaped like a moose, with four legs, a tail, antlers, and a shallow bowl forming the body. The dish is hand-painted with a red and black plaid pattern.
Each piece is carved and painted by hand, so there may be slight variations in the stone, shape and painted pattern.
The moose measures approximately 5" long from the tip of the head to the end of the tail, with a bowl about 3" in diameter. It makes a fun decorative piece for a shelf, desk, bedside table or cottage, and the small bowl can hold potpourri, small stones, jewelry or other small items.
