These Christmas tree ornaments are all handmade in Kenya from soapstone, which is a soft stone that is naturally creamy white. First, the stone is cut into thin sheets and then the outline of the shape is carved from the sheet of stone. Finally, each ornament is hand painted in bright colors and designs!
As each ornament is hand made, each is unique. You will receive a ornament similar to the one pictured, as each piece is slightly different.

Love these little soapstone animals! Just as pictured, beautifully and meticulously crafted, so many cute colours and designs. We travelled to Kenya in September, and these are the perfect gift to give friends and family at Christmas, or any time of the year, actually made in Kenya by the wonderful people there. Perfect hanging around a bottle of wine or tucked in a card, then on the Christmas tree. Soapstone is so unique with so much history, a very unique gift.
