These colourful decorative bowls are handmade from recycled magazine paper. The paper is cut into strips, and folded several times to make it thicker and stronger. Then, the strips are first coiled into a disk to make the base of the bowl, and then upwards to make the edges. Once completed, the bowl is treated with a hard lacquer for durability. They are 2" (5cm) high, and 4.5" (11.25cm) in diameter.
All colour in the bowls was printed on the paper in the original magazine. No paint is used. Occasionally, words that were printed in the magazine may appear, especially on the rim. This bowl is for decorative purposes only, and is not for food consumption.
