These cat carvings are made from Serpentine stone. Serpentine is found in many deposits throughout Zimbabwe. Its colors vary from black to brown to green, orange and variegated.
The light green cat is circular, about 4" diameter, with the body 2" high, and the head about 2.5" high. The dark green cat is a bit oval shaped, about 4" x 3.5", with the body 2" high, and the head about 2.5" high.
